Laura Stanzione is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience in both private practice and the Department of Veterans Affairs. She believes that therapy should be client-centered and tailored to each individual's unique needs and goals. Laura is committed to creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel understood and empowered as they navigate life's challenges. Through both laughter and tears, she partners with clients to explore creative solutions, build resilience, and foster meaningful growth.
Laura draws from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Family Systems Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and other evidence-based modalities. Her eclectic approach provides the flexibility needed to meet clients where they are and support lasting change.
She works with individuals facing a wide range of concerns, including relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, age-related changes, and feelings of being stuck or overwhelmed. Laura helps clients identify practical tools and strategies that promote healthier coping, greater self-awareness, and improved overall well-being.
After earning her undergraduate degree from St. Leo University and her graduate degree from Florida State University, Laura began her career at the University of Florida Brain Center, where she participated in several neurological research projects. She later conducted psychosocial transplant assessments for multiple organ transplant programs at Shands Hospital/University of Florida and the Department of Veterans Affairs. Through her work with DaVita Dialysis, she also collaborated closely with transplant teams at Yale University and Hartford Hospital, further expanding her expertise in medical and behavioral health settings.
