Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy - What is it and is it legal?
Ketamine is an FDA-approved, legal medicine that can be prescribed in individualized doses, often provided as a lozenge that dissolves under the tongue.
KAP (Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy) is a combination of using ketamine and therapy together to support emotional healing. The medicine’s rapid mood-lifting effects, paired with therapeutic guidance before and after each dosing session, can often help people work through depression, anxiety, or trauma more effectively.
Getting Started - How does it work?
Ketamine-Assisted Therapy is offered by Pamela Hopkins, LCSW, in partnership with Journey Clinical. Journey Clinical is a licensed medical organization that specializes in the safe and responsible prescribing of ketamine for mental health treatment. New clients begin with an appointment with Pamela to discuss their concerns, expectations, and whether they are a good fit for the KAP process. Through this collaboration, Pamela provides integrative psychotherapy while Journey Clinical’s medical team oversees the medical evaluation, prescribing, and ongoing monitoring.
